BEST ACTOR: Bruce Dern for Nebraska, but Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club) could spring a surprise.

BEST ACTRESS AWARD: Cate Blanchett by Blue Jasmine, although Sandra Bullock in Gravity is the popular bet and Emma Thompson for Saving Mr. Banks seems the safe bet.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR AWARD: Michael Fassbender for 12 Years a Slave, but weighs the tragic element of the posthumous nomination for Enough Said James Gandolfini, Jared Leto and for Dallas Buyers Club, gives a lesson in physical transformation for his role as trans.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS AWARD: Jennifer Lawrence by American Hustle, but if anyone can give surprise is Lupita Nyong’o for 12 Years a Slave.

Best Ensemble: 12 Years a Slave.

BEST ACTOR IN A TV MOVIE OR MINISERIES AWARD: Michael Douglas in Behind the Candelabra

BEST ACTRESS IN A TV MOVIE OR MINISERIES AWARD: Helena Bonham Carter by Burton and Taylor

BEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES AWARD: Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad, closing the series with critical and popular acclaim.

BEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES AWARD: Claire Danes for Homeland, but Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Coven his heels.

BEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES AWARD: Jason Bateman on Arrested Development, very nearly tied with Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory.

BEST ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES AWARD: difficult choice as Mayim Bialik on The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock Tina Fey and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss for Veep, are always popular, not neglecting to Julie Bowen for Modern Family and Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie. Fey has an advantage to have ended their series.

BEST DEAL IN DRAMATIC SERIES AWARD: Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey but won last year and Homeland could always spring a surprise.

BEST DEAL ON COMEDY SERIES AWARD: the favorite Modern Family has already won three times as many 30 Rock, so perhaps it’s time to welcome Arrested Development.
